The weather for this session was, saaaay....challenging, to say the least. Gale force winds, coooold and my personal favourite, sideways rain :-)

However, throw in a hip family, a cool location and some great kids and we pulled it off together!

We shot this session at the awesome Cleveland Institute of Music - and I would like to think that I absorbed some of the talent there by osmosis - just by being there. There was music in the air, people walking around with their instruments - artistry everywhere. It was GREAT.

Hot in Cleveland {cleveland child photographer, saint john child photography}

I have been photographing this family since J was less than a year old, and have been friends with them since that time. They are truly a WONDERFUL family. I love hanging with them, I love photographing them, and I love going to visit them in Cleveland!

I was spoiled by great kids, wonderful locations, wonderful food and even better company.

The weather was less than ideal when I arrived, but like magic, things cleared up for J & A's session. Whew!

I was wowed by some absolutely wonderful locations - Cleveland is a truly beautiful place. I look forward to going again soon.

Phew - getting caught up on the blog is busy business!

I think I have said recently that I don't often get to shoot at the time of day known as the "Photographer's Sweet Spot", so when I do, I like to play. And I love the results every time. Completely amazing light. Yum.

I also loved being able to photograph this family - mom was super at wardrobe, dad was great and the kids were fun and into the whole thing. Even after a full day of summer camp, swimming and fun.

Cleveland Rocks! {Cleveland Child Photographer, Cleveland Baby Photography}

I had the pleasure of traveling to Cleveland recently to photograph this wonderful family. I have been photographing J since just before he could walk, and little Miss C is no stranger to my lens either. So, it was a huge pleasure to be able to spend some time with the whole family again.

K had the whole shot planned out like a pro, from the best wardrobe to some fabulous locations. Let's just say that she has a future as a photographic stylist...just sayin, K!

I had never been to Cleveland before, and I must say that it has some absolutely beautiful scenery. From the University Circle area to out in the country, we had lots of choice for wonderful location shooting. Oh yeah...we had some cute kiddos, too! That never hurts :-)

K & A, it was SOOOOO good to see you and spend some time. Thank you!

I had the pleasure of doing minisessions at my favourite boys' boutique last week, Red21. You know much I LOVE their clothes, and the service there is truly awesome. The fabulous Bob G had a bunch of wonderful ladies and their families lined up for me, and we had some fun, MP style! We even got some..gasp..GIRLS!

Baby, It's Cold Outside - Children's Photographer in Downer's Grove.

First off, let me apologize for my lack of presence here on the blog. It is the busy season for us photographers, and things have been a little nuts.I am only here now because I PROMISED A her sneak peek!

A and I have been trying to get together for awhile. Finally the stars aligned and we did it!

On the day of my session with A and her boys, it was coooolllld. So cold in fact, that we had to ditch our original plan of shooting in the downtown area of Downer's Grove and stay inside instead.

Thankfully, A had lots of fun stuff in the house for me to play with - she even let me put the boys on the kitchen counter. I love it when I get to do stuff like that!

As usual, I had alot of fun, got to play Batman, and even did my famed across Chicagoland "chicken dance".

And for those of you who are not sure about what to wear for your session, check out the duds (or lack thereof) on these boys. A really planned out the wardrobe for her boys and it shows!
