I loved this family...they were sweet, game for anything,and.....fed me rosemary crackers and goat cheese. 

YUM.

It was the same story as many of my sessions this year....

It was hot.

It was humid.

Then it rained near the end.

 

A little rain never stopped me though :0)

 

We just opened the front door, and shot with some classic Rembrandt lighting!

Deja Vu {Ottawa Children's Photographer, Ottawa Child Photography}

I've been friends with K since I was in Grade 4. Yes, we've drifted in and out of touch since high school, but there was a time when we were in touch constantly. If I wasn't at her house, she was at mine. We would plan our outfits together. We planned practical jokes together. We even vetted each others boyfriends.

So it was so amazing to be able to get together again and photograph her gorgeous children. Who looked so much like K as I remember her from my childhood, I kept getting wicked doses of deja vu.

K, it was great seeing you again, meeting your wonderful husband L (who BBQ's a MEAN piece of salmon, btw :-), and having the chance to photograph your beautiful children.

This was the first of my recent set of Ottawa sessions, and what a way to start the weekend. Great mom, great kids, great wardrobe, great location...and a FAB ladybug umbrella.

I have the makings of the best storyboard EVER, just from the littlest's range of expression. I CAN'T wait to proof the rest of this one, it's going to be a doozy!!!!

We did this session on one of the last days before the start of school, and what a wonderful day we had. Hot, sunny, breezy...gorgeous.

R was an absolute joy - smart, funny and ridiculously cute. 

E was sweet, thoughtful and beautiful. The camera just loved her.
