Motherhood is essentially a series of ups and downs. Sometimes you are up all day, but sometimes, the takedown happens before you even get to pump your fist in the air...
Today's "UP":
Samuel says to me : " Mommy - who are those yellow people...you know, the ones we aren't allowed to watch?"
Ok - chest swells with pride. Isn't it obvious? I am a GREAT mom! My son spends so much time reading books and doing art projects with restricted television access that he has no idea who the Simpsons are.
DOWN:
I say "Why do you ask, baby?"
Samuel says, " Because I saw that they have those Simpson people toys at Burger King. I saw it on a commercial."
So there you go...from a smug mommy high to a pathetic mommy low, all in a heartbeat...
